Part 4 of lead generation has to do with tracking your results.

If you want to do business then you must track your results. You need to know what advertising methods are working and which ones you need to change.

There are many ways you can track your campaigns. You can track by page, type of content, and placement of content to name a few. If you have video, you can also track how much of the video your prospects watch.

How do you track your results?

First, you need to setup a campaign so you know how many visitors you receive. Then you need to add tracking tags to your signup form.

Now you can calculate your results. Lets say you have 1,000 visitors and 10 signups. If you divide them, you would get .01 or 1% signup.

The key to tracking your results is to try and improve your conversion rate. Even if you increased your conversion rate by 1 person.

That’s less work you need to do to bring in the same number of prospects.
